For the Erinyes series, created between 2024 and 2025, the work of memory collides with archeology. The search for belonging finds an answer in nature and, above all, in being nature, in “being with” – along the lines of Krenak and Coccia. If nature allows any place to be our place, to the extent that everything that exists communicates and mirrors itself in the distance like the roots of trees, without borders, then the myths of origin here, with which I was raised in an Eurocentric perspective, are the way to return, as the land here returns me to my land. Among the Greek gods, I rediscover the ancestral triads, prior to the Olympic gods, prior to the beginning of the “civilized world” of that civilization that claims to be unique: Moirai, Erinyes, Gorgons, Harpies.

Thirty-two diptychs, four series of eight, result of the interaction between my gesture and the gesture of nature: the water that dissolves the paper, the wind that tears it, the fire that burns the surrounding earth during a fire, the ocher from the wet limestone spreads… Through the cracks of some images, excerpts from Aeschylus’ tragic text, «The Eumenides», come across. Each construction is presented side by side with typed french poems of my own. The poems tell the story of a love mismatch.
